If you’ve ever put your creative work out there to be judged by your peers, you know that it can make you feel very vulnerable, and it can be nervewracking. But it also pushes you to be better, and to work that much harder. It is a great experience.
Recently I entered a variety of portraits into The Portrait Masters for judging and accreditation. And much to my surprise, considering the other photographers involved, I scored bronze awards on all but one of my entries! Some portraits were only points away from a silver award. Considering the other photographers judged and with similar scores to mine are some of the best in the world, to say I’m proud and humbled is an understatement.
This was huge for me, and I look forward to entering more images and pushing myself harder next time to create beautiful, heirloom art to be treasured for years to come and test my artistic boundaries.
